My name is Dave Kraus and I am the sole owner/operator of Audio Service Clinic. All work, technical or otherwise, is performed solely by myself. I do not have any employees, hence I am solely responsible for all worked preformed, or technical support supplied. I repair to “The Component Level”, which means that I replace only the smaller components necessary to complete the repair. I do not replace circuit boards, which saves you hundreds of dollars in repair costs. Replacing circuit boards is common practice with repair shops that cannot repair to “The Component Level”. Not only do I repair the immediate problem, I thoroughly check and or repair the entire unit to ensure it performs to the manufacture’s specifications. Please contact me directly through this website and I will be notified immediately. I will reply as soon as I see your inquiry via email. To “Kick Off” my new website, I will provide free technical support to an Audio Technicians only, for a limited time!
I began my career in the Consumer Electronics Industry in 1976. I originally worked for Pacific Stereo, a large retail Audio sales and service company in Southern California in the late 1970s. Within 2 1/2 years, I opened my own business, Audio Service Clinic, which I have owned and operated for over 30 years. We represented nearly 50 companies as an Authorized Factory Service Center for such brand names: McIntosh, Yamaha, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Technics, NAD, and many, many others. I operated this business in Newhall, CA, now known as Santa Clarita. If you are an Audio Technician, you may know me from my work at the Harman Consumer Group, which consists of the brand name products from Harman Kardon, JBL and Infinity. I worked there for 1 year as the sole Technical Support Specialist, responsible for providing technical support for the entire USA, Canada and occasionally, Europe.
After leaving Harman, I started a 6 year long position as a Field Service Engineer at Pioneer Electronics specializing in all things Audio, home and car. After I was settled in at Pioneer, I created, wrote and presented my first seminar on one of the most difficult AV receivers, then or now, the Pioneer VSX-49TX. I created the ” 2005 Pioneer Home Audio Training ” seminar, which is now published on the Internet and available for download from this site . This seminar is all my own work and received accolades from then President Hiro Abe, Pioneer Electronics Service, USA president. I am currently reopening my business and will continue my work to provide you with quality Audio Technical Support, as well as the repair of high quality audio components. As many of you may know, there is no longer any technical support available from the manufactures. As there is a short list of qualified audio technicians, the need exists, so I will continue to provide Technical Support combined with Audio Repair for those of you seeking someone to repair your products.
I also worked for a time, as a qualified, verified Consumer Electronics Expert on the website JustAnswer.com, where I was known as Audio Expert. Although I am no longer working with JustAnswer, I am available to assist you at any time. I look forward to assisting you, as either an Audio Technical Support Specialist, or a quality Audio Repair company, for your quality Audio products. Audio repair has become more of dying art, rather than science. As always, experience is the key element to any repair and I have that in abundance.
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
